About Us

Safe Haven Church is a hospital for the broken, hurting, lost and forgotten. We believe the church should be a safe place for ALL of God’s children to come as they are! Here at Safe Haven, we want everyone to feel welcomed and safe and that no matter where anyone is on their journey of faith, you belong! Just as God shows no partiality, we want to live and love that same way. We are all God’s Children in need of His love, mercy and grace!

Our desire is to show you the true character and nature of God; not just what you have heard Him to be. We want you to know that His love is for everyone, regardless of who you are, no one is excluded.

We strive to be a church of action. “What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, ‘Good-bye and have a good day ; stay warm and eat well’ - but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing, what good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.”

(James 2: 14-17 NLT).

Our goal is to reflect the love and mercy of God at all times. We want to be a Church who walks with you on your journey and be here to help you however we can. We recognize that we are here to help each other and not tear each other down. We are all a part of one body with Christ being the head. “For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts, though many, form [only] one body, so it is with Christ.”

(1 Corinthians 12: 12 AMP).

We Believe Jesus died for ALL and through His resurrection, the veil from Heaven was torn. This allows us to have a direct relationship with the Father. “At that moment the curtain of the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The Earth shook, rocks split apart,”

(Matthew 27: 51 NLT).

We believe God is love, and that we are to be ambassadors for Christ. “So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for God when we plead, ‘Come back to God!’"

(2 Corinthians 2: 20 NLT).

Our Core Beliefs:

We Believe in the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

“Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came through and whom we live.”

— 1 Corinthians 8:6

We Believe that salvation can only be found in Christ when we repent of our mistakes and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died on the cross to pay for our sins and was resurrected on the third day; making Him our Lord and Savior. We believe that salvation is for everyone.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”

— John 3:16

We believe in the ability given to us through the Holy Spirit to speak in tongues and to prophesy.

“Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.”

—Acts 2: 3-4

We believe the gospel is for everyone and salvation is for everyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Savior.

“I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and to the Greek.”

-Romans 1 :16

We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in us and we are His temple.

“Do you now know and understand that you [the church] are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells [permanently] in you [collectively and individually]?”

— 1 Corinthians 3:16
